Isode at AFCEA West (San Diego)

Continuing with the XMPP related announcements today. Isode CEO, Steve Kille will be giving a presentation on "Running XMPP over HF Radio" at the High Frequency Industry Association (HFIA) meeting in San Diego on February 12th.

The Talk will cover:
  • The issues of providing Instant Messaging, Group Chat and Presence using the Internet Standard XMPP over HF Radio.
  • Why XMPP is a critical tactical military service
  • The problems of running standard XMPP over HF.  
  • Provision of XMPP over HF using UDP/IP, and using STANAG 5066 RCOP and UDOP.
We'll make slides available via this blog after the talk takes place.

The HFIA meeting is being held in conjunction with the AFCEA West conference, so we'd be interested in hearing from anyone who'd like to meet up at AFCEA West to discuss issues relating to military messaging and and/or directory.
